Limsod v0.9.0



Hello everyone !

Here is the big update on the game modes part 2! Indeed, more than a year ago the first big update was on the game modes. Since then the game has evolved and its content too, that's why an almost total redesign of the game modes is finally available! We hope you will like this update!

A very important announcement about the future of the game will take place in the next patch of this update (available in a few weeks).

Here is a list of what we have been working on:


GAME MODES


  New game mode : Time Saving:

            • Added game mode: Time Saving

               ◦ You start with 30sec, the goal is to kill as many zombies as possible to gain time before the timer is over

               ◦ The normal zombie yields 2s more

               ◦ The brute zombie yields 10s more

               ◦ The toxic zombie yields 7s more

               ◦ The healer zombie yields 5s more

            • Added several statistics related to this game mode


  Mode Training:

            • Redesign of the Training game mode map

            • Added new objects to the Training game mode map

            • Slight optimization of the Training game mode map

            • Optimization of training zombies

            • Modification of the life management of training zombie


  Mode Defense:

            • Redesign of the Defense game mode map

            • Modification of the totem with an antenna

            • Added to the explosion of the antenna a thick smoke that comes from the debris it leaves on the ground

            • Added 5 new zombie spawn points on the Defense game mode map

            • Added zombie spawn points based on difficulty

               ◦ 2 spawn points of zombies are disabled with easy difficulty

               ◦ 1 spawn point of zombies are disabled with normal difficulty

            • Modification of the zombie spawn delay

            • Added a light smoke to the antenna when it is below 50hp

            • Added a thick smoke to the antenna when it is below 20hp

            • Added a weak camera shake to each antenna damage

            • Added a big camera shake to the antenna explosion

            • Added some cracking when the antenna is below 50 hp

            • Added a lot of cracking when the antenna is below 20 hp

            • Modification of the damage inflicted by the brute zombie has the antenna : 1 -> 10

            • Modification of the damage inflicted by the healer zombie has the antenna : 1 -> 2

            • Modification of the damage inflicted by the toxic zombie has the antenna : 1 -> 7

            • Modification on the small explosion of the antenna

            • The explosion sound of the antenna is now less repetitive

            • Fixed the "Times antennas destroyed" statistic which was not functional

            • Optimization of the Defense game mode map


  Mode Unlimited:

            • Redesign of the Unlimited game mode map

            • Added new zombie spawn points on the Unlimited game mode map

            • Added total time played on the death screen with Unlimited game mode

            • Added the best time survived with the Unlimited game mode in the statistics

            • Added the treatment box according to the difficulties

               ◦ 10 with easy difficulty

               ◦ 8 with normal difficulty

               ◦ 6 with hard difficulty

            • Changed the zombie spawn delay on the Unlimited map (2.0s -> 2.3s)

            • Fixed several places where the zombies were blocked

            • Fixed zombies that spawned in the whole map and not around the player

            • Optimization of the Unlimited game mode map


  Mode Death Sleeves:

            • Redesign of the Death Sleeves game mode map

               ◦ Added 15 new rooms on the map

            • Added an animation to a new sleeve

            • Changing the sound of a new sleeve

            • Modification of operation of the Death Sleeves game mode:

               ◦ It is now necessary to make 7 kills to pass to the next sleeve

               ◦ At the beginning of the game all doors are closed, every 5 sleeves a door opens

               ◦ Every 5 sleeves the zombie spawn delay decreases by 0.05s (until sleeve 100)

            • Modification of the zombies spawn delay (at the beginning of the game): 2s -> 2.5s

            • Deletion of the information of better sleeves in the death screen

            • Fixed the rotation of the zombies at the spawn

            • Fixed zombies that could spawn in closed rooms


  Mode Points Race:

            • Added time remaining to the victory screen with the Points Race game mode

            • Added time for "fastest win with Points Race game mode and easy difficulty" in statistics

            • Added time for "fastest win with Points Race game mode and normal difficulty" in statistics

            • Added time for "fastest win with Points Race game mode and hard difficulty" in statistics


  Mode Preview:

            • Added that all heal boxes are now visible (no matter the difficulty)


  Mode Custom:

            • Added the possibility to use a heal box with life modifications

               ◦ The heal box gives 15hp with the life modification at 25hp

               ◦ The heal box gives 35hp with the life modification at 50hp

               ◦ The heal box gives 55hp with the life modification at 75hp

            • Added life given by healer zombies to their dead with a modification on the life

               ◦ The healer zombie gives 4hp at most with the life modification at 25hp

               ◦ The healer zombie gives 7hp at most with the life modification at 50hp

               ◦ The healer zombie gives 10hp at most with the life modification at 75hp

            • Changed the heal box option to allow to choose how many heal boxes appear

            • Fixed several statistics accounted with the Custom game mode

            • Optimization of the custom game mode menu


  Removal game mode Streamer:

            • Removal of the Streamer game mode and all things related to this game mode



  Maps:

            • Added some relief to the terrain of the Labyrinth map

            • Added new particles to the Labyrinth map

            • Added new objects to the Mountain map

            • Added a slight foliage on the Dry Mountain map

            • Modification of the terrain of the Construction map, to make it less repetitive

            • Modification of a building in the background on the Construction map

            • Changing the brightness of the Factory map

            • Redesign of the City map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Tramway map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Agency map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Bank map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Subway map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Laboratory map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Store map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Factory map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Construction map to make it more immersive

            • Redesign of the Fastfood map to make it more immersive


  Additions:

            • Added the remaining time of the xp boost in the statistics

            • Added collisions to leaf particles

            • Added 11 new resolutions in the options

            • Added an option to reverse the mouse axis

            • Added the won gold to the game summary


  Changes:

            • Modification of the reset buttons in the options menus

            • Removal the shine from bullet impacts

            • Slight drop in the volume of the fire sound with the suppressor

            • Increase of the sensibility by default

            • Removal of several unnecessary options

            • Modification of the antialiasing modes in the options

            • Reorganization of options

            • Improved nickname creation system

            • Improved rename nickname system

            • Improved bug reporting system

            • Modification of several textures

            • Update of all images linked with the new maps

            • Update of the Limsod Itch page

            • Update of the information menu


  Corrections:

            • Fixed the time remaining before the automatic return to the lobby that was not visible

            • Fixed the life bar number that could be negative for a short time

            • Fixed to be able to change the nickname to the same one

            • Fixed a wall type that had no collisions on the Fastfood map

            • Fixed the possibility to exit the maps menu during loading

            • Fixed the possibility to open a menu when loading

            • Fixed the play button that crashes the game when no game mode is selected

            • Fixed the outline that sometimes did not appear around the indicated key

            • Fixed sensibility as a function of fps

            • Fixed the energy saver option which does not set the options well

            • Fixed several translation problems


  Optimizations:

            • Optimization of game launch

            • Optimization of all zombies

            • Optimization of the change name menu

            • Optimization of bullet impacts

            • Optimization of map launch

            • Optimization of the upgrade weapon menu

            • Optimization of the sizzling light if no player is nearby

            • The game is now less heavy
